I am an Inclusive Multimedia Artist mainly working three-dimensionally. My perspective is that art is not only for me as the artist but for the viewer to find themselves lost in the artwork I create. I love the idea of creating something from nothing, using everyday objects or materials to create impactful artwork.
Previous projects have played their part in forming me as an artist, time working with different community groups, organisations and establishments such as Hijinx, St Woolos Hospital, Cardiff museum and a variety of schools located in England and South Wales. These experiences have shown me how I enjoy creating art to a larger scale, willow work being one of my favourite materials to use. I enjoy building textures and having an expressive application of media to push the limits of what my creative practice can achieve. Making artwork as part of a group exhibition or independently, these projects hold no boundaries and have moulded me into the artist I am today.
Time working as a creative arts practitioner has allowed me to have collaborative outputs from working with participants ranging from children to older adults. Most importantly, this work has taught me the benefits of making my artwork accessible and inclusive to all, something that is prevalent in my artistic practice.
